The Year Continues 1

Phase 4 in the long-term Bedroom Beautification project. Ignore the fact the curtains are "hung" on the bottom of the window. They were being made at the time and the backwards situation has been remedied. Phase 5 will include matching dust ruffles to hid things like the ugly blue mattress and frame visible to the left of this picture. Phase 6 will be the purchase and decoration of a blanket chest to store the blankets that are now kept folded at the foot everyone's bed. Phase 7 will be the creation or purchase of pictures to go in the big blank place over Lynne's bed. Today she thought about filling that space with a thumbtacked-up calender. I talked her out of it by promising to get her one that will fit on her shelf. Please don't anyone let me forget about this!

Practicing. We do this every day. Some days Trust is willing to go back and forth a whole bunch; on others he gets tired after a few and starts rocking from side to side way too much when he tries to walk. His hips are kind of loose so we have to work a lot on him to walk forward with his legs and knees instead of from side to side with his knees locked and only his hips really doing anything. We walk with him using us as training sticks for this - one leg on the outside of his with every step to train him in the way walking ought to feel. Someday he's going to get it. And at least he's smiling and laughing when he practices instead of crying!

He is so cute when he walks and sways back and forth :)I can't wait until he can walk without wobbling.
